Alex on Zoe
What were you hoping for?
At best, to meet my future wife. At worst, free food and a fun story.
First impressions?
I didn’t realize Sabrina Carpenter had dyed her hair brown! Zoe had such a warm and lovely energy that it instantly put me at ease.
What did you talk about?
Voice notes, why Normal People should be considered a horror, and our carefully planned funeral playlists.
Most awkward moment?
Zoe had a nightmare journey with public transport, so I had extra time to intensely study the wine list.
Good table manners?
Impeccable.
Best thing about Zoe?
She radiates positivity—I could tell she brightens every room she walks into. Plus, she can belt out Madonna’s Like A Prayer like nobody’s business.
Would you introduce Zoe to your friends?
In a heartbeat.
Describe Zoe in three words:
Caring, gorgeous, passionate.
What do you think Zoe made of you?
She said Eddie Redmayne should play me in a movie, so I’ll take that as a compliment. Or maybe she was just being nice…
Did you go on somewhere?
We stayed until the restaurant closed, then headed to a pub for karaoke.
And… did you kiss?
When the karaoke host announced it was our first date and got the crowd chanting “kiss, kiss, kiss,” we couldn’t disappoint them…
If you could change one thing about the evening, what would it be?
If I’m being extremely picky, I’d say having orange wine on the menu.
Marks out of 10?
10.
Would you meet again?
Absolutely.

Zoe on Alex
What were you hoping for?
Two words: a boyfriend.
First impressions?
Super cute. Did he lie about his age? Alex, what’s your skincare routine?
What did you talk about?
Our expectations for the date (Alex wanted an outdoorsy golden retriever type—I was mildly alarmed, being more of an indoor black cat). Also, dream festival headliners, his frat party days in Colorado, and the GC (Gemma Collins).
Most awkward moment?
The entire crowd chanting “kiss, kiss, kiss” after our karaoke duet of Dirty Dancing.
Good table manners?
Very polite, friendly with the staff, shared everything, and kept my wine glass topped up.
Best thing about Alex?
A total gentleman and great at conversation.
Would you introduce Alex to your friends?
Of course!
Describe Alex in three words:
Warm, engaging, charming.
