Police are searching for far-right activist Tommy Robinson after an alleged assault at a London train station. Robinson reportedly left the UK by plane shortly after video emerged showing him near an injured man at St Pancras station.
The footage shows Robinson, 42, from Luton, claiming the man had attacked him. He had been handing out leaflets at the station earlier that day.
British Transport Police were called to the station around 8:40 p.m. on Monday following reports of an assault. The injured man was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police confirmed the suspect, a 42-year-old from Bedfordshire, boarded a flight out of the country early Tuesday morning. Detectives are working to locate and question him. His destination is unknown.
In the video, a motionless man is seen lying face down while Robinson paces nearby, saying, “He come at me, bruv.” Later, Robinson—whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon—tells a bystander, “He come at me, you saw that.”
Police urged witnesses to come forward, asking anyone with information to contact them.
Hope Not Hate, a group monitoring far-right activity, describes Robinson as Britain’s most prominent far-right extremist. In recent years, he has presented himself as a journalist focused on anti-Muslim and anti-migrant causes.
