Ghislaine Maxwell, a close associate of Jeffrey Epstein, has been moved to a lower-security prison in Texas.

Ghislaine Maxwell, the associate of Jeffrey Epstein who is serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking, has been moved from a Florida federal prison to a lower-security facility in Texas, according to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.

A Bureau of Prisons spokesperson confirmed Maxwell is now at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas, a minimum-security facility housing 635 female inmates. Her lawyer, David Oscar Markus, also verified the transfer but offered no further comment.

The Texas prison also holds Elizabeth Holmes, the disgraced Theranos founder convicted of fraud, and Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah, who is serving time for fraud.

Maxwell’s transfer follows a two-day interview in Florida with Deputy U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche—who previously represented Donald Trump—about the Epstein case. Blanche had sought to determine whether Maxwell had information about crimes against Epstein’s victims. While details of the meeting remain private, her lawyer called it “very productive,” saying Maxwell answered questions truthfully.

The interview occurred amid mounting pressure on the Trump administration to release more Epstein-related documents. In July, the Justice Department faced bipartisan criticism after announcing it would not disclose further files from the Epstein investigation, despite earlier promises from the president and Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Last week, a House committee subpoenaed Maxwell to testify later this month. Her lawyer responded that she would comply only under certain conditions, including immunity, while also requesting clemency. However, the House postponed her deposition indefinitely on Friday.

Meanwhile, Maxwell has appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn her conviction.
