On Sunday evening in London, Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the leaders of the UK, France, and Germany to discuss “the urgent need to scale up” Ukraine’s air defenses and long-range strike capabilities, according to Downing Street. This came after Russia launched hypersonic weapons at Ukraine.
The meeting of Ukraine’s strongest allies took place just hours after a Russian drone strike damaged a storage facility for spent nuclear fuel, located about nine miles from the Chornobyl nuclear power plant.
Keir Starmer welcomed Zelenskyy, Emmanuel Macron, and Friedrich Merz for talks on continued support for Ukraine, as the country looks to build on a series of strikes against key Russian positions.
